Morphopragmatics is the study of the relationship between morphology and pragmatics. This term covers the area of the general pragmatic meanings of morphological elements, i.e. affixes and clitics. Following Dressler and Merllini Barbaresi (1994) and Keifer (2007), the present contribution bears an attempt to investigate the presence of morphopragmatic elements in Persian. The data show that Persian employs the threefold morphologic members namely inflectional and derivational affixes as well as clitics to encode pragmatic meanings. In this regard, it was impressively observed that Persian recruits the enclitic =ha as a basically pragmatic element, with no lexical source meaning while bearing the warning notion. A phenomenon which has rarely been observed among languages of the world since the pragmatic elements primarily bear lexical meanings. Furthermore, analyzing the mere pragmatic value of the vocative suffix, which does not lead to attribte it to the inflectional or derivational affixes, the paper suggests a third class namely pragmatic affixes .
