Analyzing of the representation of experiential and texual meta function in the listening content of secondary English language books (vision): functional grammar approach
The purpose of this research is to examine the listening part of the vision books base on the functional grammar approach. 974clauses have been examined by descriptive-analytical method and the method of data collection is documentary-library. The results are: 1)Material processes have the highest frequency, but in some cases verbs with B2 level have been used, which is against the goals of the book. 2)According to the CEFR levels, the difficulty level of the main processes in Vision books is increasing. 3)Marked themes have a low frequency in the textbook, but it increases in the further listening. The marked theme in the Vision 1 book has a higher frequency than others. 4) Structural themes have the highest frequency. As a result, the listening parts are highly designed according to the needs of students, and to improve it, it’s necessary to pay attention to the gradual increase of marked themes. A
