Abstract

Abstract

This research was done with the aim of explaining the type of discourse, attitude and vision of the Prophet (PBUH) in terms of linguistic and ideological construction in the schools of the Prophet. In this research, Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method was used, and the text of Makatib al-Rasul was analyzed in a descriptive-analytical way at the level of vocabulary, verbal structure, and syntax. The findings showed that the lexical structure in the words of the Prophet (PBUH) was selected according to the type of audience, the requirements of the time, and the language of the recipient of the message. Verbal structure is also based on nominal sentences and news tone, and conditional tone is used when dealing with contracts and treaties. This linguistic approach shows the Prophet's (pbuh) effort to instill religious, moral, political and religious discourses.
